The Northwest School of Massage was founded in 1995. Our vision was that a small, well structured massage program that focused on healing techniques taught by highly trained professional therapists, could produce competent and confident therapists in only six months of intensive training.
To that end we created small classes (never more than 12 students) and hired instructors that not only had a desire to teach, but were also successful practitioners in the healing arts. This allowed them to help the students become excellent therapists and successful practitioners.
We minimize as many added expenses for the student as possible by using handouts and note packets, when possible, instead of requiring the student to buy expensive text books, and allowing the students to take advantage of school discount, to purchase supplies for their practice. Because of all this, our vision has become reality.

Professional Massage Training Program consists of approximately 500 hours of intense training given in a six month format, designed to teach students to become proficient in a variety of effective massage techniques.
They will also learn basic anatomy and physiology of the human body as well as pathology related to the massage profession. The business and practice building sections of the course teach students how to build an operate their ideal practice.
